Shown in a shadowy image, the new Lexus SUV is set to be revealed a few hours from now. Looking at its shape, the Luxury brand’s new model will be a three-row electric SUV model.
It will wear a TZ nameplate and will be closely related to the recently revealed 2027 Toyota Highlander electric vehicle, which will portray how the smaller two-row Lexus RZ shares components with the Toyota bZ. Subaru collaborates with Toyota on EVs; they also have their own three-row model known as the Gateway.
The TZ is expected to be differentiated from other models by its unique Lexus styling, both interior and exterior, plus the addition of luxurious interior materials.
The Highlander comes with two battery pack sizes. The new Lexus TZ is expected to come with a larger battery pack measuring 95.8 kWh, offering at least 300+ miles of driving range. The Tz will likely get only a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain, and looking at the Highlander powertrain, which has 338 horsepower, and the Gateway, which has 420 horsepower, Lexus may adopt the more powerful version of this setup that would be able to give higher power than 338 and 420 horsepower.
The reveal will be livestreamed on May 6 at 9:30 pm Eastern time in the US. If you would like to know more details about this upcoming model, stay tuned; only a few hours are left for the reveal to begin. The video above the article links you to where the livestream video will be available.
