This post will help you install Windows 11 on an Intel-based Mac. If you have a Mac powered by Apple’s M-series chip, you can’t install Windows on it without using an emulator, a virtual machine, which is not ideal. That said, in this case, you can forget about Windows altogether, which is why you wanted to use a Mac in the first place. On the other hand, if you have a Mac powered by an Intel CPU, you can use the Boot Camp Assistant (BCA) app to install Windows 10 natively as a dual-boot option alongside macOS. All you need is…

And speaking of cost, Haiku 4.5 is included for subscribers of the Claude web and app plans. Through the API (for developers), the small model is priced at $1 per million input tokens and $5 per million output tokens. That compares to Sonnet 4.5 at $3 per million input and $15 per million output tokens, and Opus 4.1 at $15 per million input and $75 per million output tokens. The model serves as a cheaper drop-in replacement for two older models, Haiku 3.5 and Sonnet 4. “Users who rely on AI for real-time, low-latency tasks like chat assistants, customer service…

Links have proven to be a tricky thing when it comes to social media engagement. On platforms like Threads, data suggests that people often don’t click the links in posts, and creators on X have complained that posts including links don’t get as much visibility. X is now trying to solve that. Head of product Nikita Bier shared that the platform is “testing a new link experience” that lets people open a link without leaving the original post entirely, so they can still view the Like, Repost and other buttons. The test is rolling out to iOS users first.”To help…

As far as mini PCs go, my absolute favorite is the Apple Mac mini (M4). It’s powerful, compact, and robust, and right now only $30 more than its lowest price ever. That means you can pick up the incredible Apple Mac mini (M4) at Best Buy for $499 (was $599).This model of the Mac mini has the super powerful M4 chip, 16GB of memory, and a 256GB SSD. The fact that you can get it for under $500 is frankly a little ludicrous. I’ve no idea why it doesn’t get more airtime, but let me assure you, you’re not going…

The TUF Gaming BE6500 Wi-Fi 7 router (model TUF-BE6500) is the fourth dual-band Wi-Fi 7 router from ASUS, and the first officially designated as a gaming router. In a way, it’s the Wi-Fi 7 version of the Wi-Fi 6 TUF-AX5400 I reviewed a few years ago. Short for “The Ultimate Force,” ASUS’s TUF brand is its non-ostentatious alternative to its ROG (or Republic of Gamers) product line. Among other things, the hardware doesn’t have the fancy RGB lighting, which is a trade-off for a lower cost, while the functionality remains the same. In that sense, it’s my type of gaming…

Thousands of networks—many of them operated by the US government and Fortune 500 companies—face an “imminent threat” of being breached by a nation-state hacking group following the breach of a major maker of software, the federal government warned Wednesday. F5, a Seattle-based maker of networking software, disclosed the breach on Wednesday. F5 said a “sophisticated” threat group working for an undisclosed nation-state government had surreptitiously and persistently dwelled in its network over a “long-term.” Security researchers who have responded to similar intrusions in the past took the language to mean the hackers were inside the F5 network for years. Unprecedented…

Texas could have a serious legal battle on its hands thanks to an age verification law for app stores that it recently enacted. In response to the Texas App Store Accountability Act, the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA) filed a lawsuit that argues the new order goes against First Amendment rights. The not-for-profit trade association has Amazon, Apple and Google amongst its members. The law goes into effect on New Year’s Day and requires app store users to verify their age before downloading apps or making in-app purchases. If underage, users have to get parental consent each time they want…

Let’s be honest: your kitchen drawers are a graveyard for “life-changing” gadgets you bought to make cooking easier, but now they just sit there collecting dust. All those special slicers and holders aren’t making you a better cook; they’re just taking up space. So, how do you know what’s actually worth keeping? I asked professional chefs, and they all had the same advice: stick to the basics. You don’t need a drawer full of single-task gimmicks. A great knife, a sturdy cutting board, and one reliable pan can do it all. It’s time to master the real tools and ditch the…
