This year marks the 30th anniversary of Pokémon, and despite being old enough to have two-day hangovers and chronic lower back pain, the franchise shows no signs of slowing down. Pokémon Pokopia has become the first major Nintendo Switch 2 hit of 2026, selling more than 2.2 million copies in just four days. And since Pokopia‘s a console exclusive, that means there’s been a surge in sales of the Switch 2 as well.

Few fandoms get as much cool merch as Pokémon, and if you’re looking to accessorize your Switch or Switch 2 console with a touch of cute and colorful style, there are loads of options to choose from. Here are some of our favorites.

PowerA’s wireless controllers are officially licensed by Nintendo, which means you can expect a reliable product that’s fully compatible with your favorite Switch games. With the rarely-discounted Switch Pro Controller retailing for $79.99, this is a great alternative or second controller to add to your home setup. There are six variations of PowerA’s Pokémon controllers — including an orange and brown one with a distinctive late ’70s / early ’80s look — but we love the smiling Pikachu and pops of purple on this one.

    An adorable Eevee carrying case

It’s no secret that the Nintendo Switch 2 isn’t cheap. If you’re looking to keep your $500 Nintendo console protected from bumps and scratches while you’re on the go, whether it’s for a daily commute or to Nana’s house, you’re going to need a well-constructed case. There are plenty of drab, utilitarian, black cases out there that will do the job. But why not pop for something with a bit of flair and whimsy? This case from Hori features soft, watercolor illustrations of Eevee in various adorable poses. It includes storage space for game cards and cables, too. While large enough to accommodate the larger dimensions of the Switch 2, it can also fit a Switch 1 or OLED.

An inexpensive statement case for Switch 1

If you’re looking for some affordable storage for an older Switch console, this vibrant red-and-yellow model from PowerA is a great option for under 10 bucks. It’s compatible with Switch 1, Switch Lite, and the OLED model — but note that it will not fit the Nintendo Switch 2. It’s got a big, smiling Pikachu on the front, and storage for some game cards and cables inside. This basic model from PowerA also comes in Mario, Kirby, and Zelda variants, too.

    Buy at Amazon ($9.99)

Earbuds in a legally distinct spherical case

High-end headphones and earbuds have their place, but there are plenty of reasons you might not want to get the most expensive option out there. For under $30 bucks, you get two sets of Bluetooth headphones, which come in distinctive red-and-white and blue-and-white cases. Maybe they look like something you’d use to catch Pokémon, maybe they don’t. They’re not officially licensed, and they’re priced accordingly. They are pretty cute, though.

A 3D-printed custom Pokédex to hold your games

With more than 400 reviews on Etsy, this custom-made, 3D printed game case has a glowing average score of 5.0/5 stars. The case is available in more than a dozen colors, with matte and glossy variations. Reviewers consistently rave about the design and say it’s more accurate to the anime than similar cases available from major retailers.

One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to controllers. For younger gamers and folks with smaller hands, standard-issue controllers can be heavy and cumbersome to use. PowerA’s little yellow controller is perfect for those use cases. It’s a wired controller, which keeps costs down but means it’s only suited to tabletop or docked play.

    Buy at Amazon ($13.97)

    A catchy charging stand

Another legally distinct spherical item, this red-and-white charger is compatible with older models as well as Nintendo Switch 2. It won’t connect to a TV so it can’t be used as a dock, but you can use it for tabletop play or simply as a charger. It’s a nice thing to toss in your travel bag for gaming on the go, since it doesn’t take up very much space.

    Buy at Amazon ($16.99)
