I didn’t know what to make of the SABRENT BLOWzer X6 Cordless Air Duster (model TF-BZX6) when it was offered to me for testing, and it turned out to be one of the most fun tools I’ve had in a long time.

The duster is a bit unusual for SABRENT, a vendor better known for solid-state drives (SSDs), such as the Rocket lineup.

Here’s the bottom line: If you’re looking for a handy device that can blow-clean your keyboard, computer, car’s dashboard, and whatnot, the SABRENT Blowzer X6 delivers! This thing really blows! Get one today!

SABRENT BLOWzer X6: A powerful and practical alternative to compressed air cans

Traditionally, if you want to clean a keyboard or a tight corner, such as a computer, compressed air cans are the go-to devices. They work, but can be wasteful, as each can contain enough air for about one or two dirty keyboards. After that, they become waste.

And I speak from experience: I always bought a 6-pack of air cans at a time and kept a few in my drawers. That’s until I got a hold of this BLOWzer X6.

    Simple and particle design

Out of the box, the SABRENT BLOWzer X6 takes the “gun” shape, with a handle attached to a body housing a tiny yet powerful fan that blows air from the back to the front.

On the back of the handle, it has the power on/off button, which doubles as a toggler that cycles through three speed modes relating to how fast its internal fan spins: 130K RPM, 80K RPM, and 40K RPM that, per SABRENT, push air out at about 22, 53, and 86 meters per second, respectively. Three indicator lights above the button show the current mode.

On the opposite side of the handle is the trigger button. Press on it and the fan will roar into life, pushing a ton of air out of its front-facing nozzle. A couple of things to note about this button:

    • At full speed (max air speed), you have to press and hold the button for the duster to work.
    • At lower speeds (for gentle airflow for delicate electronics and lenses), you can press the trigger to turn the duster on or off.

The BLOWzer X6 includes five interchangeable pinpoint-precision nozzles for wide-area dusting or deep-crevice reach—you can easily swap them out via a twist. Additionally, it comes with cleaning brushes and a USB cord for the USB-C charging port located at the bottom of the handle.

Overall, the air duster feels solid and well-built in the hand. At 0.67 pounds (306 grams), it’s not heavy but has good heft. SABRENT is confident enough to offer a 2-year warranty, with an extra year for those who register it.

Powerful performance with long battery life

For this review, I used the SABRENT BLOWzer X6 for a couple of days, and it proved to be super effective and fun.

When turned on, the blower defaults to its top-speed mode, which proved super powerful: as I pressed and held the trigger, I could feel the force of the air pushing my hand backward. With the right nozzle, the TF-BZX6 could clean up a keyboard or the inside of any computer with ease.

The most important thing is that, unlike an air compressor, which generally has enough pressure for a few minutes of continuous operation, the BLOWzer X6 can blow for hours on end. In fact, for testing, I left it on with the 2nd power mode for an hour, and the battery gauge only lost one level.

In real-world use, you won’t need to use any air duster continuously for a few minutes at a time. That said, it’s safe to say the SABRENT BLOWzer X6’s battery has enough juice to clean dozens of keyboards or computers on a full charge. And in my trial, it took a couple of hours to charge to full using a USB-C phone charger.

Note that the TF-BZX6 doesn’t work while charging. So, make sure you keep it at a decent battery level at all times.

Other than that, the SABRENT BLOWzer X6 remains completely cool no matter how long I use it. In terms of noise, it wasn’t quiet, but it wasn’t louder than the sound of air released from a compressed can, either. Still, it makes a high-pitched noise when turned on, even at its lowest power setting, making it too loud to use as a portable fan, though it can function that way.

Overall, this air duster, my first, proved to be excellent for what it’s designed to do. With it, I know I will never buy another box of air can again.

The SABRENT BLOWzer X6 charges via a USB-C port and comes with a 4-light battery gauge.

    Conclusion

For those who frequently need to clean their devices, such as keyboards or computers, the SABRENT BLOWzer X6 Cordless Air Duster (model TF-BZX6) is an excellent tool to keep within reach. Get one today!
