Pokémon Champions, Starfield DLC And Other Games Coming Out

Starfield makes its big debut on PlayStation 5 this week alongside a free update for all platforms and a new expansion called Terran Armada that adds a new robot army faction. I hope it’s better than the sci-fi RPG’s underwhelming first DLC, Shattered Space.

I ended up playing through all of that campaign, which included a scientific experiment gone awry on the home world of religious zealots, and enjoyed very little of it. In fact, I’ve never especially loved Starfield and its weirdly expansive but archaic form of ambient questing. Yet I’ve played a surprising amount of it while dropping off of games I felt a clearer and sharper affinity for.

All of which is to say I’m a prime target for the Starfield 2.0 takeover that Todd Howard keeps downplaying expectations for. I’ll also be trying to navigate Pokémon Champions, a new one-stop shop for all your free-to-play online battling needs. We’ve got a great explainer on everything you need to know about the game, which feels like it’s not getting nearly enough attention outside of the usual Pokémon hyping grounds.

For now, here’s all of the big and notable games coming out this week. Please hit us in the comments with anything we missed.
