If you find the new iX3’s design a bit too soft, this rendering should change your mind. It offers a much more aggressive interpretation of BMW’s fresh design language set to define all Neue Klasse models. Over 40 of these vehicles are expected to debut in rapid succession by the end of 2027, each carrying the new styling cues. You can almost picture tuners already rubbing their hands in anticipation of the coming wave of cars wearing the roundel.BMW has already given us a glimpse of a meaner iX3 through a few M Performance Parts. But before the rumored M60…

If there’s one thing I’ve learned after nearly 20 years of writing about cars, it’s that buying a new one often happens at the wrong time. As competition intensifies, automakers roll out updates more frequently to keep up with rivals, so you’re rarely getting the best version of a model. In the past, the mid-cycle refresh was the only major change, but that’s no longer the case. Take Europe’s cheapest electric car, for example. Dacia gave the Spring a major facelift in 2024, yet an improved version is already on the way. For 2026, the budget-friendly EV gains much more…

Britain’s biggest carmaker, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), has been forced to close its UK factories until October 1 after a major cyberattack earlier this month that crippled the company’s operations chain. The Tata Motors–owned automaker usually rolls out about 1,000 cars a day across three UK factories. With production halted, the company is reportedly losing £50 million ($68 million) every week and has asked many of its 33,000 workers to stay home. Worse, the attack comes when JLR had not yet completed a cyber insurance deal. According to industry insiders, this means that the automaker is now facing the entire…

Speedhunters Throwback: This story was originally published in 2015. This FD3S Mazda RX-7 doesn’t need much of an introduction – it’s one of many cars over here in Japan that I’ve had on my ‘to shoot’ list for far too long. But finally, after the stars recently aligned, I managed to get the cool guys at Car Shop Glow (CSG) to bring their time attacking Mazda to a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo’s daily chaos. I can remember the first time I laid eyes on this RX-7 – it was probably the second Battle Evome round that…

Why did BMW choose to debut the new iX3 as its first Neue Klasse model in the modern era? Because as much as we love cars, SUVs pay the bills. Still, Munich knows sedans will always have a place in the lineup and decades of tradition to uphold. Come 2026, the i3 will make a global return after years of being limited to China as a long-wheelbase, electric 3 Series.Codenamed “NA0,” the i3 will essentially serve as the sedan counterpart to the iX3. According to a reliable BMW insider who frequently (and accurately) posts on the Bimmer Post forums, the…

Honda recently redesigned the Passport, which debuted for the 2026 model year. It follows the closely related three-row Pilot in ditching its blob-like exterior for a more squared-off, chiseled appearance. Already, it’s proven to be a winning formula for the Passport—the SUV is selling like hot cakes. Through the end of September, Honda moved 41,450 Passports, marking an increase of 74.8 percent compared to September 2024, when the company sold 23,715 units through the first nine months. Aiding its success further is the fact that 80 percent of buyers are opting for the off-roady TrailSport guise. Model YTD 2025 Sales…

Toyota is known for its reliability, but things aren’t going quite as well these days. The automaker announced two new recalls last Wednesday, covering approximately 400,000 Toyota trucks and SUVs. Toyota The recall affected over 394,000 Toyota Tundra and Sequoia models that were built between 2022 and 2025. The issue is rooted within the 14-inch infotainment system, where a software bug causes the screen to be half green or fully green and, at some point, completely black. Toyota The problem can cause the backup camera not to display properly, which may increase the chances of a collision ending up causing…

It’s hard to believe that the Aston Martin DBX – the firm’s first and only SUV – is knocking on for five years old. Now there’s a new S version to tempt buyers into spending more money. As you’d expect from the badge, the 2026 Aston Martin DBX S does indeed go a bit faster, though the DBX707 hardly needed a performance boost, so the focus here is on a little weight reduction and a lot of driver engagement. Our first drive of the DBX S came at the car’s international media launch on the twisting mountain roads of the Spanish island…

Japan’s vast road network boasts 1.2 million kilometres of tarmac across its sprawling landscape. That might sound like a lot, but it manages some 82 million vehicles in some of the world’s most densely populated cities daily. As a country, it should be at a perpetual standstill. Yet, ever since the 1950s, the Japanese have held a tiny little ace up their sleeves… Kei-jidõsha, or ‘kei car’ as it’s more commonly known, refers to the smallest category of motor vehicles permitted to drive on Japanese roads and highways. For decades, the kei class has produced some of the most unusual-shaped…
