Today I tried “OK Computer,” Kimi’s latest Agentic mode that does all your tasks – researching, compiling, and documenting with just a single prompt. The best part? Kimi OK Computer is smart and super simple to use. In this blog, let’s get to know Kimi’s latest “OK Computer” better, test its capabilities, explore its applications, and more.

What is “OK Computer” by Kimi?

“OK Computer” is Kimi’s agent mode. In simple language, it’s the AI agent that brings Kimi’s capabilities into execution with just simple prompts. This AI agent acts like your AI product and engineering team- all in one! It can plan, think, and execute tasks on its own to finally give you the result that you want. 

Key Features of “OK Computer” are:

1. It can create multi-page websites, mobile-friendly designs, as well as editable slides – with simple prompts. 
2. It can go through almost 1 million rows of data to create interactive dashboards.
3. It can research on its own and create designs that align better with the task.

To see how good Kimi’s agentic mode is, let’s put “OK Computer” up for three tasks involving:

1. Creating Excel Sheets and Visualisations
2. Social media content creation across different platforms
3. Research and generate a presentation

Task 1: Creating Excel Sheets and Visualisations

Prompt: “Find me the stocks that have gained more than 100% in the last 6 months and the ones that have lost more than 100% and create an Excel sheet to track how many stocks have gone up and gone down in this time frame.”

I am blown away by the result this agent has produced! Firstly, it identified that there are no stocks that lost more than 100%; thus, it altered the ask and found the stocks that were major losers in the stock market in the last 6 months. To track the movement of the stocks and the various trends that they have followed in the last 6 months, OK Computer created an interactive dashboard. This dashboard had real-time tracking of 40 stocks, interactive visualizations of performance trends, and analysis across performance, sectors, and risk metrics. Moreover, it also provided downloadable datasets in CSV/Excel formats! All this work, and it looks like less than 10 minutes to create all this. 

Task 2: Social media content creation across different platforms

Prompt: “Find the topics that are trending on YouTube in the field of AI, Gen AI, and data science. List them down, create scripts for each of those topics, and then their Instagram carousels and LinkedIn posts.”

The agent took time researching the trending topics; it wasn’t a scratching the surface type of research, but a complete research that was done over 142 topics, out of which 5 were selected. On all these 5 topics, the agent then created 15-minute YouTube scripts on each topic, 10 slide Instagram carousel content, and finally 5 professional, 400 – 600 word posts for LinkedIn. The interactive dashboard that the agent generated provided detailed insights into the kind of engagement that each topic would bring, key strategic insights, and an implementation roadmap. Along with this, it provided downloadable files for YouTube scripts, Instagram carousels, and LinkedIn posts. All this work and all I gave was just a simple prompt! OK Computer just turned out to be More than just OK Agent!

Task 3: Research and generate a presentation

Prompt: “Create a professional PowerPoint presentation on the H-1B visa policy. The presentation should include:

I have been a fan of Kimi Slides since the day of its launch. OK Computer Agent takes their performance to the next level. With its research and reasoning capabilities, it enhances the output that was originally possible with Kimi Slides. The Agent follows all instructions properly and creates a professional PPT. The entire presentation has limited text and is visually quite simple and appealing. It has charts at all the right places and finally a slide summarizing all the points. Overall, this PPT is completely editable and can be shared as it is and in the form of images, too. 

Is OK Computer Free?

Yes and No. Kimi.ai offers this AI Agent in a freemium plan. There is a limit to its use under the free plan. Its paid plans offer a higher quota for OK Computer. 

• The free plan, also called Adagio, comes with a limited, yet unspecified, use of the Kimi Agent. 
• The mid-tier plan, called Moderto, costs $19 and offers higher usage of the Agent.
• The top-tier plan called Vivace costs around $199 and comes with an uncapped use of the Agent. 

OK Computer: How is it?

My first reaction using this Agent was: This is brilliant. But since I have worked with ChatGPT Agent and Manus too, and both of them, I feel are good competitors to OK Computer. 

I feel Manus is best at what it does – the agent is comprehensive with its research and very detailed with its outputs too. Compared to it, Ok Computer is fast but not as thorough or detailed. Now coming to ChatGPT Agent, I feel OK Computer is currently on par and in places superceding OpenAI’s agent – especially with its PPT building capabilities. 

Conclusion

Kimi.ai is slowly making its way to the top, and the world is realising its capabilities too. It’s bringing out features that actually help users, and Ok Computer is a clear depiction of it. This AI agent proactively works on your prompts and finds details that you might have missed. The agent creates beautiful PPTs and researches through various channels in minutes. Moreover, it’s cheaper than its peers, and with the speed at which Kimi is improving its products, this agent will soon be at the top of the chart. While you may think you don’t need such an agent, I hope you test it.
