Reportedly just in time for the holidays

A Lego PlayStation might be joining Lego’s roster of brick console replicas later this year. Lego_Minecraft_Goat, a leaker with a strong track record of accurately reporting prices and release dates, posted a batch of new Lego set images on their Instagram page, and top on the list is the PlayStation set expected to launch in December.

The Lego PlayStation set will reportedly cost $159.99/€159.99, include “at least” the console itself and one controller, and is composed of 1,911 bricks. That makes it quite a lot larger than the Lego Game Boy set (421 pieces), but smaller than the Atari 2600 (2,532 pieces) and Nintendo Entertainment System (2,642 pieces) sets.

Lego’s other consoles included extras, like a TV displaying Super Mario Bros. for the NES set and game cartridges and a vignette on the console’s front panel for the Atari. Even the tiny Lego Sega controller had a removable panel with a little Sonic the Hedgehog vignette inside. The PlayStation leak doesn’t include any details about extras or interactive elements, but it doesn’t rule them out either.

Lego is no stranger to gaming collaborations. Lego and Sony Interactive Entertainment have worked together in the past, first on a Tallneck figure from Horizon Forbidden West and on the Lego Horizon Adventures game. Lego and Nintendo have quite a history as well. In addition to the Nintendo console sets, Lego’s put out several figure sets, Mario Kart sets, and just recently announced new Mario minifigures slated for release in 2027.
