Chris Pratt is all set to return to the screen in an upcoming Apple TV movie, which seems like the perfect follow-up to the actor’s underrated Prime Video show.

There have been mixed reports about Chris Pratt’s return in Avengers: Doomsday. Owing to this, it is unknown whether he will reprise his role as Star-Lord in the upcoming MCU movie. However, the actor has several other exciting TV and movie roles lined up. In one of them, he will play a role that will be reminiscent of his part in his Prime Video action thriller.

The movie in question is based on a bestselling book, and is scheduled to be released on Apple TV on November 20, 2026.

After The Terminal List, Chris Pratt Is All Set To Play A Navy SEAL Again In An Apple TV Movie

    Chris Pratt in Terminal List

Chris Pratt may be best known for playing Star-Lord in the MCU. However, on the small screen, his most prominent role is from Prime Video’s The Terminal List, in which he plays a Navy SEAL Lieutenant Commander, James Sullivan Reece. James Reece’s story in the Prime Video show gets increasingly gritty as he learns the truth about a bleak domestic conspiracy.

Although Chris Pratt’s character’s story in the upcoming Apple TV movie, Way of the Warrior Kid, will not be too dark and far more family-friendly, he will again portray a Navy SEAL.

The Terminal List struggled to perform well among critics and earned an underwhelming Rotten Tomatoes score of 41%. However, audiences appreciated it far more than the critics, which helped the show become a hit on the streaming service and land a follow-up series, titled The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. The follow-up, too, briefly marked Chris Pratt’s return as James Reece, though he was not portrayed as the new installment’s main character.

While only time will tell whether Chris Pratt will ever play Reece in a major capacity again, his role as a Navy SEAL in Way of the Warrior Kid gives him the perfect follow-up to his Prime Video show.

Written by Will Staples and directed by McG, Way of the Warrior Kid is based on Jocko Willink’s bestselling book of the same name. The book and the movie center on a bullied 11-year-old who learns to channel his inner warrior after training under his Navy SEAL uncle over the summer. Jocko Willink, too, is a former Navy SEAL, with military service including combat actions in the Iraq War.

Interestingly, the former Navy SEAL also recently sat down with Chris Pratt in a YouTube video and reviewed the action scenes in The Terminal List. Checked it out below:

Considering Jocko Willink and Chris Pratt‘s long-term history of collaboration and Willink’s Navy SEAL background, it is hard not to be excited about Apple TV‘s take on Way of the Warrior Kid.
