Netflix‘s biggest movie of all time keeps growing, as it has now broken another major record for the streaming service. When it comes to Netflix’s original movies, every year brings along exciting new releases. For instance, 2025 ended with huge original hits, like Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery and The Great Flood.
Now, Netflix’s best movies list might have just added another film, as Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s new team-up project, The Rip, has become a major worldwide hit for the streamer, topping Netflix’s charts. Still, no other movie on Netflix has been able to surpass the performance of a certain fantasy smash hit, and that film has now broken a significant record.
According to Netflix, KPop Demon Hunters has become Netflix’s most-watched title over six months with 482 million views. The animated movie also performed strongly through KPop Demon Hunters Lyric Videos, which garnered another 32 million views in the same 6-month period. In terms of TV shows, Wednesday season 2, with 124 million views, stands in the top spot for the 6-month period.
KPop Demon Hunters‘ new record continues the movie’s streaming dominance, and by comparing its performance over six months to the other films on Netflix’s report, it is easy to see just how successful the animated movie is. In the second spot is Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore 2, standing at 135 million views. The difference to KPop Demon Hunters is a mighty 347 million views.
The rest of Netflix’s top 5 for the July 2025 to December 2025 timeframe includes Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein at 98 million views, Sofia Carson’s new Netflix rom-com My Oxford Year with 86 million views, and Charlize Theron’s returning action franchise The Old Guard 2 with 82 million views.
KPop Demon Hunters Cast & Character Guide
The cast of KPop Demon Hunters includes some of the biggest Korean actors in film and television, alongside some major K-Pop music stars.
With 66 million views, The Great Flood closes the list at 10th, nearly double that of KPop Demon Hunters Lyric Videos. The animated franchise is confirmed to come back with a sequel, as KPop Demon Hunters 2 is expected to arrive on Netflix in 2029, four years after the original movie made history at the streaming service.
KPop Demon Hunters currently stands as Netflix’s most-watched movie of all time, a record that should not be broken by another film anytime soon. The reason for that is due to how KPop Demon Hunters amassed 325.1 million views in its first 91 days, while its closest competitor, Red Notice, stands at 230.9 million views. With its new record, KPop Demon Hunters‘ Netflix dominance continues.
