Resident Evil might always be the bridesmaid, never the bride at The Game Awards — but at least it is always the bridesmaid. Things are officially looking better for Marathon. The game’s Server Slam, essentially an open beta that’s freely available everywhere, has kicked off. This is the last chance for anyone curious about Bungie’s next big game to play it before it officially goes on sale next week. There are a lot of puzzles in Resident Evil Requiem, but even though some reviewers have had access to the game for weeks, no one has yet figured out the most elaborate headscratcher it contains. To be honest, I didn’t even catch that there was a “Final Puzzle” either time that I played through Grace and Leon’s no good, very bad day. But given that no one’s found a solution yet, I’m not feeling too bad about that. As places like IGN and VGC have laid out, there’s a hidden puzzle that starts near the end of Requiem’s first act.…

When I found out that Clint from Stardew Valley had been announced as one of the two new marriage candidates in the 1.7 update, I yelled incredulously, “That incel?!” and was consumed by the news for the rest of the evening — if Clint has a million haters (and he does), I am one of them; if he has zero haters, I have left this earthly realm. However, now that I’ve slept on it, I’ve come to see that perhaps that’s exactly the point — there is no character in more dire need of redemption than Clint. Clint, Pelican Town’s…

Discovery, pending stockholder and regulatory approval. For the better part of two months, Warner Bros. refused to engage with Paramount, which briefly led the latter to file a lawsuit against the rival studio. Earlier this month, Netflix granted Warner Bros. a one-week period to reopen negotiations with Paramount. The Warner…

Version Luna 5 of Genshin Impact is now live, but it’s a bittersweet occasion for fans of HoYoverse’s breakout gacha RPG – at the very least, those who are still playing the game on PlayStation 4, which is presumably true of somebody out there. HoYoverse announced last year that they intended to wind down support for Genshin Impact on PS4, which – alongside PC, Android, and iOS – was one of the launch platforms for the game back in 2020. And with Version Luna 5, those end days are upon us. To see this content please enable targeting cookies. Manage…

The New York State attorney general is suing Valve over its use of loot boxes in games like Counter-Strike 2. The reaction to this lawsuit has led to Twitter users ratioing Attorney General Letitia James, while others are hopeful that the legal challenge could force Valve to clamp down on the shady world of skin gambling. On February 25, NY Attorney General James announced that she and her office had filed a lawsuit against Valve, claiming the company’s popular online storefront, Steam, was promoting and supporting illegal gambling that violated the state’s laws. In a press release, James alleged that…
