The sleigh has done its job for centuries. It’s iconic, it’s timeless, and it’s probably the only vehicle on Earth that can claim “chimney access” as a core feature. But every December, there’s a moment—usually right around the time the elves start stress-baking gingerbread like it’s a coping mechanism—when reality taps Santa on the shoulder and says, gently but firmly, “You might want a backup plan.”This year, that moment happens in a workshop at the edge of the North Pole (Arjeplog comes to mind) , where the sleigh is up on a lift and a mechanic elf is making the…
Audi is officially getting into the holiday spirit. The automaker recently shared a short video on its Audi USA Instagram page that reimagines Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer with die-cast cars drifting through the snow instead of flying reindeer. It’s cute as hell. The one-minute, 40-second clip, titled “Holiday Play, the Audi Way,” is packed with miniature versions of some of Audi’s most iconic vehicles—production cars, race cars, and beloved classics alike. The cars slide down snowbanks, build snowmen, and generally have a grand old time together. The video opens with a close-up of an Audi Q8 pulling out of an…
Since 2023 Alpine, a French sports car manufacturer, has been looking for a way to enter the American market. Even though the tariffs implemented by Trump’s administration earlier in the year pushed them back from the plan, the automaker still considers going to America. In an interview with the Auto Express, Philippe Krief, Alpine CEO, doubled up on the brand’s earlier plans, the move being boosted by the upcoming Alpine A110 Electric sports car, and there could be a larger performance SUV as well. Krief stated that the 110 wouldn’t be enough to keep the brand in the United States,…
The Nissan Juke electric vehicle (EV) will use the same platform as the new-generation electric Nissan Leaf hatch – a move that will see it grow in size but also help its final showroom price in its battle with the Toyota C-HR EV due here in 2027.According to Automotive News Europe, the automaker confirmed the Juke EV will share its CMF-EV architecture with the new third-generation Leaf, saving Nissan – struggling after significant sales slumps in China and the United States, the world’s two largest car markets – millions in development costs.Nissan Europe’s engineering director, Guy Reid, confirmed Juke EV…
Morgan is marking 25 years since it began fitting BMW engines to its cars — a relationship that started with the Aero 8 in 2000 and now sits at the center of the company’s four-wheeled lineup. To put a spotlight on the milestone, Morgan has gathered 14 BMW-powered cars from the past quarter-century and brought them together for a single display. The idea is simple: show the arc of Morgan’s modern era in one place, from early V8 Aero models through the brand’s current turbocharged four- and six-cylinder range. From the Aero 8 to the end of Morgan’s BMW V8 eraThe…
As of today, there isn’t a single new car in America that starts at under $20,000. Nissan has discontinued the Versa, with production of the small sedan officially ending earlier this month. Nissan has confirmed the Versa’s death in a statement to Motor1, saying: ‘In line with Nissan’s product strategy, the Nissan Versa ended production in December 2025 for the US market. Nissan remains committed to offering affordable and stylish vehicles in the sedan segment with models like Sentra and Altima, while also offering strong value in the compact SUV segment with the Kicks.’ This move shouldn’t come as a…
GWM had a strong 2025, posting a more than 10,000-unit increase in annual sales, thanks to models like the Jolion. That’s not a bad effort for any auto brand, but with a never-ending influx of new Chinese automakers in the Australian market, GWM has done well to continue selling its vehicles in such high numbers. Two SUVs have dominated those sales. One is among the newest models in GWM’s local lineup, the Haval H6 mid-size SUV, and the other has been around for some time: the Haval Jolion small SUV.With nearly 20,000 units sold for the year, the Jolion remains one of…
BMW’s rethink for the 5 Series facelift appears to extend straight to the M5. New spy shots show a camouflaged G90 prototype that looks noticeably different from the test car photographed earlier this year—especially up front. The front styling appears to be an evolution of the outgoing design language, retaining the classic grille. As you can see, the kidney grilles no longer integrate with the headlights, unlike the other test car seen in February. The headlights themselves also seem to have a revised shape and no longer flank the black horizontal band seen on earlier prototypes.Of course, nothing is official…
Building cars is hard, and sometimes even the best automakers make mistakes, including Porsche. Thankfully, the automaker was quick to rectify a flub in which two limited-edition 911 S/Ts featured dash plaques with the exact same serial number—1,724—and the mistake might have gone unnoticed if one owner hadn’t attempted to buy an additional customized badge for his car. Somehow, car 1,742 accidentally received the second 1,724 badge. But Porsche isn’t going to miss an opportunity to capitalize on a mistake that inadvertently created two new rare 911s. The automaker has documented the error as part of the company’s history, cataloging and…
In a teaser released last week, Ram is heavily hinting it will reveal a new 1500 TRX on January 1, 2026.The video (below), which shows desert sand blowing in the wind with the faint sound of a supercharged V8 roaring off in the distance, ends with the tagline “Power will reborn”. The description reads: “Desert winds don’t whisper…they roar. Get Ready. 01.01.26”We know Ram is preparing a new TRX — pronounced T-Rex — with Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa already confirming its existence, if not its timing. In an earnings call in July, Mr Filosa said, “The V8 engine on versions…
