Audi Australia has officially confirmed the launch of the 2027 Audi Q4 e-tron after it was first revealed four months ago, with highlights including faster charging, a refreshed design, enhanced specification, and significantly reduced pricing compared to the outgoing model.
The updated range is available to order now, with customers who order quattro variants this year eligible for a complimentary six-year, 90,000km service plan.
First deliveries are scheduled to arrive during the first half of 2027.
The price of entry has been reduced by $13,000, though the new base model features less power and a smaller battery pack than the previous range-opener.
That said, opting for one of the quattro models brings a saving of up to $18,000 compared to their respective predecessors, while also boasting more range.
For model year 2027 (MY27) the range will open with the Q4 e-tron 150kW, available in both SUV and Sportback body styles.
Starting from $71,650 plus on-road costs, the Q4 e-tron 150kW is powered by a – you guessed it – 150kW/350Nm electric motor driving the rear axle, teamed with a 63kWh (59kWh usable) battery.
For reference, the previous 45 e-tron range opener outputted 210kW/545Nm and quoted 524-540km of WLTP range from its larger 82kWh (77kWh usable) battery.
Audi Australia hasn’t confirmed driving range for local models, but this variant is quoted as having 391-451km of range on the WLTP test cycle in Europe, depending on specification.
The smaller battery supports DC fast charging at up to 160kW, which will see the Q4 e-tron charged from 10-80 per cent in as little as 27 minutes.

Audi says the new Q4 e-tron offers up to $20,000 of “enhanced overall value for customers”, with plenty of additional kit in the new base grade.
Also worth noting is the now full suite of Audi connect plus services, which previously weren’t available for the Q4 e-tron. This perhaps signals imminent changes coming from the wider Volkswagen Group stable too.
Sitting atop the lineup is the Audi Q4 e-tron quattro, again available in SUV and Sportback body styles.
The dual-motor powertrain sees quoted system outputs of 250kW/545Nm, good for a 0-100km/h claim of 5.4 seconds. Range from the larger 82kWh (77kWh usable) battery has risen to 494km for the SUV and 509km for the Sportback – previously 488-503km.
DC charging capacity has increased from 175kW to 185kW, meaning 10-80 per cent takes the same 27 minutes as the base model. The battery can also be automatically or manually preconditioned for optimal efficiency.
