It’s been close to 4 years since God of War Ragnarök burst onto our screens, and it would seem that we have plenty of new God-tier goodies coming our way. Whether you know him as Atreus or Loki or perhaps even just “boy,” Atreus and his character arc melted our hearts and still remains one of the strongest aspects of the new God of War series. The fan’s love for Kratos’ little protégé is about to be rewarded in statue form.
Thanks to the good folks over at Prime 1 Studio, we’ve just learned that an official statue is in the works for Atreus. The collectible statue will be 1/3 the scale and will borrow Atreus’ likeness from God of War Ragnarök. The slightly older and moodier teenager from the second game in the recent franchise revival could be yours and take pride and place in your home. Pre-order dates are yet to be announced and bar the tag of ‘coming soon’, we’re unsure of when fans will be able to get their hands on this new collectible.
God Of War: Atreus Officially Announced
Getting an official collectible statue of Atreus feels like the perfect stopgap while we wait for God of War Laufey to launch. While many were hoping Atreus would lead the charge in his very own game, that seems very likely but also very far away. With God of War Laufey releasing in February 2027, it could be a few years before we get the inevitable conclusion of Atreus’ search for the remaining Frost Giants. Getting a commemorative statue in the meantime is a nice way to remind fans of what’s yet to come.
With delays expected for the God of War TV series, thanks to Ryan Hurst dropping out due to injury, it could be quite a while before we see Atreus in action. Bar replaying the games for the hundredth time, a statue of the god of mischief might be the only new iteration we see for quite some time. And although pre-orders aren’t open yet, you can add Atreus to your favorites over at the Prime 1 Studio website so as not to miss out on any updates.
Prime 1 Studio are responsible for some of the most realistic portrayals of video game characters in statue form. Characters like Joel from The Last of Us and Higgs from Death Stranding 2 are available for purchase on their website and the attention to detail on these scaled models is absolutely incredible. They’ve also dipped their toe into the God of War franchise in the past too. Statues of Kratos, Thor and Baldur have been brought to life by their skilled hands.
While we wait for God of War Laufey and also the inevitable return to Atreus’ adventures some time in the future, it’s nice to see that fans aren’t likely to forget about Atreus anytime soon. God of War Ragnarök might have been several years ago, but the love for the franchise is just as strong as ever. God of War 6 might feel a long way off, but a statue of Atreus added to your collection might appease the Gods while we wait.
