Chances are you haven’t seen Craig Gillespie’s Supergirl in theaters. The film about Superman’s cousin (Milly Alcock) accompanying a teenager (Eve Ridley) on a quest for vengeance was a box office flop, despite having some bright moments like Alcock’s performance and Jason Momoa playing the bounty hunter Lobo. If you didn’t rush to buy a ticket to see the space Western but still want to be caught up on everything happening in the DC Universe before Man of Tomorrow, you’re probably wondering when you can watch it at home.
Here’s what we know about when Supergirl will be available digitally and on DVD.
When will Supergirl be available to rent or purchase digitally?
Warner Bros. Pictures typically waits a little over a month between theatrical and digital releases. Superman flew into theaters on July 9, 2025. It was released digitally on Aug. 15 while Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom made its VOD debut on Jan. 23, 2024, after opening on Dec. 22, 2023. Supergirl premiered on June 26, so that means it will probably land on VOD by the end of July.
When will Supergirl be available on Blu-ray/DVD?
Warner Bros. tends to wait about five or six weeks between digital and physical releases. Superman got its physical release on Sept. 23, 2025, while Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom came out on 4K UHD, DVD, and Blu-ray on March 12, 2024. That means you’ll probably see a special feature-packed Supergirl physical release in September.
When will Supergirl be available to stream on HBO Max?
Let’s compare it to some of DC’s other theatrical releases. Superman launched on the streaming service on Sept. 19, 2025, just a few days before its physical release and a little over three months after its theatrical debut. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom arrived on HBO Max on Feb. 27, 2024, about two months after its theatrical release. Since Supergirl performed much worse than Superman, you’ll probably be able to stream it in September.
