“Across the Threshold” is a seasonal quest in Diablo 4 Season 14 quest line. To complete it, you must find and kill a Realmwalker. These massive, powerful Pandemonium creatures may eventually appear in Sanctuary after closing a Surging Rupture. However, there is a guaranteed method to make them spawn and finish the mission to claim your rewards.
Here’s how to complete the “Across the Threshold” quest in Diablo 4 Season 14 and where you can find a Realmwaker.
‘Across the Threshold’ quest walkthrough in Diablo 4 Season 14
To complete the “Across the Threshold” mission in Diablo 4 Season 14, you must kill the Realmwalker boss. There are two ways of finding one:
- Complete a Surging Rupture event with Mastery, but there’s only a chance to spawn a Realmwalker.
- Participate in the “Realmwalker” world event southeast of Zarbinzet.
The “Realmwalker” world event is a guaranteed way to spawn a Realmwalker, but it’s a unique event that occurs periodically throughout the day. Be sure to open your map and check for a Whisper icon in the area telling you when the event will start.
Once the event begins, you will have to keep three Ruptures open for a period of time. A check mark will appear on the minimap indicating that you have completed a Rupture, and can move to the next one. It’s possible to handle all three Ruptures alone, but if there are other players with you, you can split up and ensure the prerequisite for summoning the Realmwalker is met.
Finish the previous step and the Realmwalker will emerge in the middle of the arena. It’s not mandatory to face this boss at a high difficulty level, so you can play on normal mode to increase your chances of defeating the boss. Destroy the three pillars that eventually appear in the arena. Otherwise, they will turn into Realmbreakers, making the battle more difficult than it needs to be.
After beating the boss, a portal to the Deathtoll Chamber will appear and the quest’s final part will begin. Enter the portal to find an arena similar to a regular Rupture. This time, your goal is to kill enemies to expand the ritual circle. Finish this step, then go talk to Dannica to complete the “Across the Threshold” quest.
