    Crysometimes – Sorry

Crysometimes are an emerging alternative pop / indie rock band based in Brighton, UK, blending early 2000s emotional intensity with a modern pop-rock polish. Channeling the confessional energy of Paramore, the intimacy of Phoebe Bridgers and boygenius, and the punchy hooks of Avril Lavigne, the band craft songs that feel both nostalgic and refreshingly current.

Their sound sits at the intersection of vulnerability and volume — big choruses wrapped around emotionally honest storytelling.

“Sorry” leans fully into crysometimes’ strengths — a soaring vocal performance, dynamic guitar builds, and a chorus that feels designed for late-night singalongs. The track balances emotional confession with pop accessibility, capturing that specific 2000s-era tension between heartbreak and defiance.

There’s a melodic urgency throughout. Guitars swell with a familiar alt-rock grit, while the vocal delivery carries both fragility and resolve. It’s the kind of song that feels diaristic but universally relatable — about regret, miscommunication, and the messy aftermath of saying too much or not enough.

Rather than wallowing, “Sorry” builds toward release. It’s cathartic without losing clarity.

Why It Is Trending: Y2K Alt Revival Meets Emotional Transparency

The resurgence of 2000s-inspired alt-pop is in full swing, and crysometimes tap directly into that revival while keeping their identity intact. Listeners are gravitating toward artists who combine nostalgia with raw sincerity — music that feels both throwback and personal.

“Sorry” resonates because it bridges those worlds: familiar enough to trigger memory, fresh enough to feel immediate. In a streaming era dominated by mood-based discovery and emotionally open songwriting, crysometimes’ Brighton-bred blend of grit and gloss feels perfectly timed.

They’re not just revisiting the 2000s — they’re reinterpreting it.
