Bruce Wayne Upgrades His Immortal Legend Batman Armor
Immortal Legend Batman #6 – from Kyle Higgins, Mat Groom, Erica D’Urso, Igor Monti, Dan Mora, Tamra Bonvillain and Becca Carey – takes place in a universe where humans have mastered ‘Dark Matter’ – a powerful form of energy emanating from a parallel plane of existence.
Bruce and his family are locked in battle against this universe’s version of the Joker – a Dark Matter creation which has stolen Bruce’s power as the Immortal Legend Batman. In response, Bruce heads to a tear between the dimensions, forging a new source of power out of his own pain and anger.

Batman’s New Suit Weaponizes His Pain (As a Rad Sword)
Not only does Batman’s new batsuit make him stronger and faster, but it can manifest its power as both a sword and a powerful energy blast, which emanates from Bruce’s new golden logo – a move he calls “the Bat-Signal.”
In this world, Bruce Wayne inherited the title of Batman, and while he has accomplished heroic deeds, the power was still borrowed and, at times, ill-fitting. By making direct contact with the Dark Matter universe, Bruce forges a new power made of his own pain – a force he is uniquely able to use, and which is particularly powerful against his Joker doppelgänger.
The entire miniseries of Immortal Legend Batman has followed Bruce’s journey to come to terms with his own place in the world and what being Batman means in terms of his inner turmoil, as well as the responsibilities that the title demands.
Issue 6 is the perfect ending – manifesting his progress with a powerful new look – while setting up the next arc, as Batman‘s growth inspires a new Batgirl, and his contact with the Dark Matter universe seemingly spawns a deadly new Red Hood.
