    Tehran

Three and a half years since its season 2 finale, Tehran returns with its season 3 premiere on Friday, January 9. The critically acclaimed Apple TV spy action thriller follows a Mossad agent who goes undercover to disable an Iranian nuclear reactor in her hometown of Tehran.

Tehran season 3 features an exciting new cast addition in the form of Hugh Laurie as Eric Peterson, who is set to clash with series protagonist and Mossad agent, Tamar Rabinyan (played by Niv Sultan). Whether you’re all caught up or just learning about Apple TV’s overlooked spy thriller, now is a fantastic time to dive into this gripping 88% Rotten Tomatoes series.

    Hijack

Hijack is another thrilling Apple TV original series set to return with its second season next week on Wednesday, January 14. The series stars Idris Elba as a professional negotiator who gets caught up in a hijacking. Season 1 took place on a mid-flight commercial plane, and season 2 takes place in a Berlin subway.

Hijack season 1 is incredibly bingeable and suspenseful at 7 sharp episodes, making this weekend a perfect opportunity to catch up or re-watch this tension-fueled series. The 8-part season 2 will release weekly episodes every Wednesday through January and February. If you love thrillers with life-or-death stakes and massive star power, Hijack is an ideal choice on Apple TV this weekend.

    Drops of God

Drops of God is one of the few Apple TV series with a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score. What’s more, it finally returns with its second season on Wednesday, January 21, which means there’s still time to binge the masterful 8-part first season that critics couldn’t speak more highly about.

Drops of God is a tale of heated rivalry between Camille Léger (played by Fleur Geffrier) and Issei Tomine (Tomohisa Yamashita), who compete for the inheritance of the greatest wine collection known to humanity. For a series that’s mild on violence but strong on tension and suspense, Drops of God is not only one of Apple TV’s finest series but one of the best shows of January 2026 that deserves far more attention.
