2026 Ford Ranger Super Duty deliveries starting early in Australia

First customer deliveries of the hardcore Ford Ranger Super Duty are starting earlier than planned, the Blue Oval has confirmed.

“The Ranger Super Duty is arriving ahead of schedule, with customer deliveries starting later this year,” said Ford Australia president and CEO Andrew Birkic on LinkedIn.

The more capable Ranger was originally set fore release in Australia in early 2026, following its official launch later this month.

It was revealed in April 2025, before the pricing of some variants was announced in July, and full specifications were published in September.

Instead of being just one variant, the Ranger Super Duty will be an entire family of tougher pickup and cab/chassis variants, with single-cab, extended-cab and dual-cab body styles available.

It’ll launch initially in cab/chassis configurations, priced from $82,990 before on-road costs.

All Ranger Super Duty models pack a 154kW/600Nm turbo-diesel 3.0-litre V6 engine, mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and come standard with locking front and rear differentials, plus a class-leading braked towing capacity of 4500kg.

Borrowing its name from tougher versions of Ford’s full-size American F-Series trucks – and the first non-F-Series Ford to wear the Super Duty moniker – the most rugged Ranger ever features a stronger chassis, larger fuel tank, wider tracks, more ground clearance and eight-stud wheels/hubs.
