2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E: Minor refresh for mid-size electric SUV

The 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E lineup has been updated for the new year, with power output and driving range increases for the GT headlining the changes – accompanied by a subtle styling refresh for all variants of the mid-size electric SUV.

Prices have increased by $1000 for the entry-level Mach-E Select – now starting from $65,990 before on-road costs – while the Mach-E Premium and range-topping Mach-E GT have gone up by $500 each, to $80,490 and $98,490 before on-road costs respectively.

The rear-wheel drive Select has received an additional 14kW of power and 95Nm of torque, increasing outputs to 212kW and 525Nm – while driving range remains unchanged at 470km (WLTP), thanks to a 73kWh battery.

The Mach-E Premium also continues with rear-wheel drive, though the variant now gets the same 212kW/525Nm electric motor as the Select. Driving range also unchanged at 600km, with the Premium powered by an 88kWh battery.

The biggest changes are at the pointy end of the Mustang Mach-E’s lineup, with the GT getting a performance boost to 434kW and 955Nm – up from 358kW/860Nm – while driving range has also increased from 490km to 515km, despite keeping the same 91kWh battery.

This is likely due to the addition of a new heat pump, designed to maintain the car’s battery pack at an optimal level, as well as helping to keep the cabin at comfortable temperatures in a more efficient way.

Ford hasn’t announced sprint times for the updated Mustang Mach-E GT, but expect an improvement over the outgoing model’s claimed 0-100km/h time of 3.7 seconds.

Suspension has been upgraded for the Mach-E Select and Premium, thanks to revised sway bars, springs, and shock absorbers.
