    2002 BMW 318i

    The BMW 318i, also known as the E46, is one of the most timeless classic BMW cars with top-notch reliability during 1998-2002. It gives plenty of options for modification and configuration, coming with a prize for USD $2,500 with a 2.0-liter engine, which used to give a punching power of 141 hp.

    2005 BMW 325i

    The 2005 BMW 325i is a 2005 model that has been proved to be the most reliable BMW model. It consisted of a leather interior finish with all subtle engine configurations.

    2008 BMW 750i

    The 2008 BMW 750i is a model that didn’t fail to grip the attention of BMW fans. It’s a model that packs luxury and serious engine power and is equipped with a 4.8-liter V8 with an astounding performance of 360 horsepower coupled with rear-wheel drive.

    2010 BMW 528i

    The BMW 5 Series, also known in the USA, is a very popular lineup equipped with a 3.0-liter I6 engine with 230 horsepower. It comes in 2 options, i.e., xDrive and AWD, with 10-way adjustable leather seats, a 10-speaker audio system with 4D surround, a cooled storage compartment, a premium wooden interior, and climate control.

    2012 BMW Z4

    The BMW Z4 is a known model from 2009-2017 that got impressive driving performance at affordable prices with a) a 335-horsepower 3.0-liter turbo V6, b) a 300-horsepower 3.0-liter turbo, and c) a 240-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder.

    2014 BMW X3

    The BMW X3 is not only popular in sedans but also in SUV segments. It comes in 2 variants: xDrive and AWD standard. The features are a power moonroof, surround audio with a comfortable spacious cabin, and heated leather seats with power adjustments. You’d get 2 engine options. a) 300 horsepower 3.0-liter turbo V6 b) 240 horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter variant.

    2015 BMW i3

    The BMW i3 has been one of the pioneers of the electric vehicle segment. With the introduction of the i3 in 2015, BMW established itself as one of the reliable electric vehicles with long range. 

    2016 BMW M4

    The BMW M4 has a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged I6 engine, which produces 425 horsepower. The BMW M4 comes in 2 transmissions, i.e., A) 7-speed dual-clutch and B) 6-speed manual. The BMW M4 is one of those models that has very few maintenance complaints.

    2013 BMW 1-Series

    The 2013 BMW 1-Series could be the choice, with fun fact hatchbacks with Series 3 engines under the hood. Some of the notable features of the BMW 1 Series are dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic headlights, a 10-speaker system, & cruise control.

    2013 BMW M57

    The 2013 BMW M57, despite its high durability status, faced lots of problems, especially with the engine, which had problems with the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve, carbon buildup, turbocharger failures, and breaking intake swirl flaps. Thought being, with those problems, it featured a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six diesel engine, which produced 265 horsepower and 425 lb-ft of torque.

    Things to note:
    Buying a pre-owned BMW is often described as “buying a world-class athlete.” They are incredibly capable, but they may require a specific kind of maintenance to stay in top shape. Since you are looking for models that range from 2002 to 2016, the market has some great bargains to offer for those models. Before buying, there are things you should put into consideration:

    • Never buy a used BMW without its service records.
    • Hire professional inspection services, which mostly are nonnegotiable and could cost almost $200 to $300. They will use BMW’s specific scanners to see hidden codes that a normal reader won’t see.
    • Always confirm the engine codes if they match with the original one that was assembled from the assembly line. This is where documents matter in times of vehicle transfer.
